Advising
Every Wesleyan Advantage student is connected with a staff member who will help you navigate through your course of study at NWU. Your advisor will assist you in scheduling classes and will see to it that your Wesleyan Advantage program runs smoothly.
New Student Orientation
Each new student will have the opportunity to attend an orientation which will provide them with information to ensure their success as a Wesleyan Advantage student.
Campus Computer Labs and Computer Resources
As a Wesleyan Advantage student, you’ll have access to the campus’ five computer labs. The labs include Windows and Macintosh operating systems, printers, scanners, and projectors. Lab hours vary, but computer resources are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Cochrane-Woods Library
The Cochrane-Woods Library is your first stop for materials to help complete a research project or for a quiet place to study on campus. It includes a collection of over 135,000 references, audio-visuals, periodicals, books, journals, and computer databases. The library is open seven days a week.
Parking
Students park free in designated areas on the NWU campus. Campus security is available to escort you to your car during evening hours.
Admission to Campus Events
Wesleyan students receive free admission to campus events including nationally-known speakers, athletic events, art shows, concerts, and theatre productions.
Weary Center for Health and Fitness
The Weary Center for Health and Fitness includes cardio and weight rooms, an indoor track, pool, basketball, volleyball, and racquetball courts. Wesleyan Advantage students receive a discounted membership.
Cooper Center for Academic Resources
The Cooper Center provides a place for you to seek assistance with your studies. Housed on the third floor of the library (room 317), the Center features reference materials for different disciplines, computers linked to the Internet, video equipment for oral presentation rehearsals, and a staff trained to assist you with writing and speaking projects, as well as matters related to study skills.
Career Center
The Career Center offers services to help you prepare for your career. Career counselors will assist you in obtaining internships, job searching, resume writing, interviewing, and applying to graduate school.
Dining Options
No time to run home for dinner before class? The campus dining hall is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or grab a cup of Starbucks® coffee and a gourmet sandwich in The Coffee House. Vending machines are also located throughout campus.
